LEGO Mania

In 1932, at the age of 12, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen started working at his father's (Ole Kirk Christiansen) business in Billund, Denmark. He built step ladders, iron boards, stools, and wooden toys. Two years later the company adopted the name LEGO, which comes from the danish word "LEg GOdt," which means "play well."

Fast forward 60 years, I am 9 years and spending a lot of my time assembling and playing with LEGOs. Today, it is estimated the world's children spend 5 billion hours a year playing with LEGO bricks. My love for LEGO was rekindled when I married my wife and saw all the cool new LEGOs that her 11 year old brother had.
